What is a Truck Run?"Delivering More than a Sandwich"
365 days a year, volunteers hit the streets to serve the homeless, delivering food, clothing, hygiene products, and other life-sustaining items where needed most. What will Campers Do?The camp truck run is a new and exciting optional after-camp experience, giving middle school campers the opportunity to participate directly in an act of service – stepping out to feed families in our community!
On Monday – Thursday of the camp week, four campers and two adults will meet at 12:30 PM to load the MLF Truck with sandwiches made by our elementary campers. Campers will ride in the truck (driven by an MLF Camp Director), to a friendly family community to serve sacked dinners to those less fortunate, and will be back at the church by 2:00-2:30PM. Parents may pick up their camper up at the regular church pick-up location. Note: Hungry campers may enjoy a lunch from the MLF Truck prior to leaving on the truck run. Sign Up! |
